|120 Countdown Program
120 countdown program is a program coordinated by Uniting that assists young learner drivers who are facing significant barriers to gaining the mandatory 120 hours of driving hours before applying for their provisional drivers licence.
The 120 program matches learner drivers with fully licenced volunteer mentors who can provide driving practice and youth mentoring in a fully maintained Uniting vehicle until they accumulate 120 hours of driving experience.
We are seeking Volunteers whom are fully licenced drivers, who are available to help Dubbo and Wellington young people.
We need people who can give us at least 2 hours a week to be matched with a young person.
They also must pass our Uniting police and working with children checks, and have good driving skills, with an interest in helping disadvantaged people in the community.
We supply all the training a share pool of cars to use which we fully maintain, all we need from our mentors is their time and experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those who want to help keep our New drivers and community’s safe on the roads we are looking for as many mentors as we can find and have application packages waiting at the 120 countdown office to be picked up or sent out to all who is interested.
